it's been 1 whole year since i posted anything... and now ORD LOH!!! finally man haha. can't describe the feeling in words. too happy! gonna get more siong soon cos of attachment, driving (hopefully can pass 1st try... 1st feb), simo training, mot lessons (which reminds me: must start preparing!) etc.

but for now, i can just sit back, relax and shout ORD LOH!

halfway thru!!!! 1 yr ago i entered the army. 1 yr later i feel stupider. but... only 1 yr left!!! yay!!! must tahan... ooh n also means im 3sg now haha. the slacker way. but with more pay comes more sai kang. but work shld become somewhat slacker soon... by mar i think... by feb i hope haha.

anyway, to prepare myself to be observer in imo 2008 (spain! yay!) im training maths o on sat mornings. n after that i have tuition in afternoon. so my saturdays r quite xiong haha.

went for a couple of simo sessions. n managed to get latex working.

oh passed basic theory not long ago.. n was too lazy to book final theory. soon lah.

then last yr had a mini-class outing. i was hoping for abt 8 or 9 ppl. but in the end only abt 7.02 came. 0.02 for the one who at least came n said hi =p

ooh n quite a long time ago i beat tontie without using continues. haha during duty clerk of course. not that bo liao to do that at home.



oh yes i nearly forgot. smth that should have pissed me off really badly but somehow i wasnt really pissed. just a feeling of being vindicated. cos some time ago i kena 3 extra duty cos i received a document n was supposed to pass it to the other section in my office (who happened to b out tuanging haha) but i forgot all abt it for 2 wks. then ppl chased n complain to head manpower (a ltc). so i kena 3 extra. then recently he himself did the same thing lor. one of his clerks came over to the other section in my office n asked them to send out smth urgent cos the deadline was over. n apparently head manpower had kept it in his drawer for 2 wks. yeah. he hasn't signed any extra yet though. double standards lor. u meet all kinds of ppl in army.

whatever lah... 1 more year to ord!!!

i realised i haven't been doing anything here for a really long time. maybe cos i get sick of seeing the comp in camp dun feel like using the comp at home. which would explain why i got a ps2 to play with instead of the comp. and partly cos my wireless is spoilt so i only have this comp to use internet and it's in my bro's room.

but anyway im on a 1 week course which is slack n boring (at least the 1st day was) so i'm not so stoned when i reach home. usually when i reach home stoned i just play games. so kenneth u get ur update! haha

let's see... other stuff... my tuition kid passed her promos! yay. i finally got down to booking my basic theory. 21 dec i think. anyone knows if the book to read is the 5th edition? cos im using my brother's book. which is 4 yrs old i think.

ooh i just read this. faith is "the bridge that we step out onto even if we cannot see it." "Maybe it is courage to face a responsibility that seems impossible." like my work in camp. after my course i'm gonna chiong the huge backlog of work man. n God will give me the strength to clear it.

today was the big day! no not coc parade in camp which i skipped =) the astar ceremony. after lots of rehearsals it was finally time for us to perform in front of everyone... and it wasnt bad... i was prepared for worse, so it was better than what i expected haha.

the dancers basically missed everything that was going on... we were backstage/just outside backstage most of the time. the only times we were in the audi were when we were on stage for dance, receiving the scroll and for the song finale.

then after reception we went minds cafe... then dinner/supper and i just reached home not long ago haha...

and yes... for those who know mdm loo shek kien (as well as those who don't know her personally but sort of know who she is, and even those who don't know her at all) please pray for her! i went with kenneth zhiheng and xi wern to visit her in hospital (apparently she just had an op, not quite sure the details) yesterday and she was really weak... she hasn't been eating well according to mdm lim chan tuan... so pray for her!

whee world cup over... after nearly a month of sleeping early to only to wake up at 3am (usually) to watch a match. i thought the italy germany semi-final was one the most exciting even though it was 0-0 for nearly 120 min. there was a lot of end-to-end football especially towards the end when italy threw on 3 or 4 strikers and attacked with germany countering with quick breaks. and 2 goals in the last 2 min was a surprising delight.

when rooney got sent off for stamping on carvalho (which i felt was an accident, even though i dont really like rooney), ronaldo asking the ref to send him off was a hateful and shameless act. especially when they r teammates at man u... see u wouldnt see liverpool players doing that to each other =) and rooney's face had this expression of being betrayed... so ke lian.

and after the 3rd place playoff between germany n portugal... the fans sang ynwa! testament to the passion of liverpool =)

and the world cup final itself was quite dramatic... i turned on the tv and the first thing i saw was henry colliding into an italian defender, cannavaro i think. and he seemed so woozy after that. then zidane scored the penalty which i believe shouldnt have been given. and at first i thought he didnt score. but the ball did cross the line. such a cheeky chip. then the tempo of the game raised tremendously and italy was chionging everywhere n zambrotta was booked for colliding at full speed into one of the french. then materazzi scored and the games calmed down from there. then france dominated the 2nd half. until zidane lost his head. a tragic end to a glorious career. =( i thought cannavaro deserved the golden ball more than zidane. he was exceptional.especially in the semi-final. he's so good, maybe he should be renamed CARRAvaro =p

oh i managed to complete tontie! haha after several continues and some luck. here's a screenshot. =)

scv is such a bully... grabbing the exclusive rights to world cup =( at least there's rtm1 and rtm2 for uncabled ppl like me. but last few nites wasnt watching cos the games didn't seem exciting. hmm after grp stages shld b more exciting cos its knockout...

work today was quite lousy. morning was fine... clearing backlog but not too rushed. but afternoon was bad. on the bright side i managed to reach tontie lvl 20. but i couldnt complete it.... its hard! haha.

hmm i had more stuff to blog but i forgot. thats what happens when u dun blog for a long time.

yesterday had fatigue the whole day and then early release! which means get to leave at 5. yay! then today i was the last nsf to leave (at 6) other than the duty clerk. boo!

positive attitude at work seems to be working haha... in the sense that i don't feel so annoyed when i get arrowed. apparently there's going to be some restructuring so i might get transferred elsewhere within the unit. i don't wanna end up being a clerk helping the chief clerks.

and it's istanbul all over again! 3-3 afer full time n extra time, win on penalties, carra (among many others) getting cramps, comeback completed without leading at any time during open play. Liverpool are the FA Cup CHAMPIONS!!! whheeee! finals involving liverpool should include health warnings to caution ppl with weak hearts haha. no wonder houllier had to go. unfortunately i didn't get to watch it (is it cos big bully scv has exclusive rights to fa cup? or is ch5 just stupid?)

this good mood should carry over to work haha.

toh: yeah i'm a clerk =p n i ord before you! ahahahaha! paiseh must laugh abit cos i can't laugh at anyone else in my unit =p i'm the last to ord there. not counting regulars of course. but u don't laugh at regulars. except behind their backs haha <-- that's not a laugh at them behind their backs.

i just watched epl highlights and it didn't show any highlights of liverpool. i feel cheated.

had a super long weekend cos of labour day n i took leave yesterday (to slack and settle scholarship/uni stuff). then today had clerk course. of the stuff taught, i knew half of it and didn't need to know the other half. we should have this more often =p slacker than being in office. so this week is almost a 2 day week for me haha. apparently my chief clerk was pissed that i was on leave and scolded "who approved his leave?" or something to that effect. HMMM... i wonder who... the irony.

and i found my last post rather whiny haha... maybe i should bring a more positive attitude to work! let's try it for what's left of this week and next week.

enough abt army..oh ya i got astar =) n i chose it over dsta after thinking for v long. after astar's 1st interview i really thought i wouldn't get past the 1st round if it were based solely on the interview. but God's grace never fails. messing up an interview can't interfere with His plans.

speaking of plans... i plan to go as observer to imo in 2008! no not 2008 factorial. that might be a little too far away. i mean, the team for that year hasn't even been born yet. maybe i shld ask dr tay soon. shall get yongsheng to ask together. maybe during ntst or maths camp which i hope to go for the weekend at least.

finally blogging again after a loooooooonnnngg time. i just dun have the mood to blog on weekdays after army. i dun like the work i'm doing. it's boring, not fulfilling and there is a need to be careful to cover ur ass so u dun get whacked. there seems to be quite a lot of office politics, backstabbing n xiao4 li3 cang2 dao1. i wonder what will happen to me after my upperstudy ords. n my direct superior nags a lot... worse than my mum haha (is that even possible?? haha actually my mum's nagging might be worse but it's filled with love =p). n another superior rules by fear laa... "fear leads to anger. anger leads to hate. hate leads to suffering. suffering is the path to the dark side." ~Yoda. 1 mistake n she screams like crazy... no need lor. she seems quite unfriendly too. also i'm gonna get fat if i just sit in office whole day. thankfully there's run twice a week. which i prefer a lot to going back to office. shall up to the 5k run soon.. been doing the 2k run so far. somehow i have been feeling distant from God the past few weeks... sigh =(

on the bright side, it's stay out, the camp is just an mrt ride from home and my superior seems to like 4a students lol. but tt also means i get the work. my upperstudy said once i learn everything, i'll be doing 75% of the work n he 25%. but it's not that bad lah.

on the brighter side, i got dsta! but i'll wait for astar to reply before deciding. n cambridge agreed to defer 2 yrs. yay! God is faithful even when we are faithless. 2 Timothy 2:13
